TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE
The following terms and conditions apply to all transactions on Dracinabox.com. Placing an order indicates your acceptance of these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully and print a copy for future reference.
We endeavor to give as much technical information as is reasonable about the products we sell. All images, descriptive matter, specifications and advertising on our site are for the sole purpose of giving an approximate description of the goods. We always try to make sure that the information given on our site is as up to date as possible but we cannot guarantee that this will always be the case. If you need different specific information you are always welcome to email us and if we are able to we shall answer your enquiry.
Goods are either hand wash or dry clean only. All woollen items, lined coats, business suits and cotton velvet garments are dry clean only. No returns will be accepted where items have not been cleaned in accordance with their care labels.
The total price payable for the goods and delivery will be as shown at the time when you place your order. Registered customers will see prices in their own currency when they are logged into their account. For any unregistered customers all prices are shown in British pounds sterling.
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Switch. On the order you must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number - the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received. Payment will be debited from your card at the time of order. You may also pay by cheque or postal order, in British Pounds only please, although we cannot dispatch the goods until payment has been cleared which can take as long as 10 days.
If we have any reason to we will contact you to re-confirm your card details before processing the order. We will do this by email. You must ensure your email address is correct. If we do not receive a response to our email requesting further security information we reserve the right to cancel your order.
Please note, our minimum order value is 10.00 British pounds (GBP) (before shipping and tax), any order under that amount will be charged a surplus to cover the costs of processing the order. The surplus charge will be no more than 3.00 GBP, we will waive the surcharge if the item is light in weight and is cheap to post.
For new customers we may feel the need to ask you additional security questions before we process your order. This is to protect ourselves from the crippling cost of credit card fraud and give additional protection to card holders to avoid unauthorised use of their cards. It is your right to refuse to answer the security questions which we will email to you, however if you refuse to answer them then we reserve the right to cancel your order and refund the money paid. services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time. If we do not supply the goods for any reason we will not charge you for these and we will refund any money already paid for them.
All prices on our website are exclusive of delivery charges which will be added to the price of the products when added to the shopping cart.
Delivery is made by Royal Mail or Parcel Force unless a prior arrangement is made with ourselves. Delivery charges are as follows.
All UK addresses 4.50 GBP
Within the European Union 9.00 GBP
Rest of World 14.00 GBP
On certain heavy or bulky items in the store we charge an additional amount of 6.00 GBP within Europe or 30.00 GBP outside Europe for all deliveries outside the UK mainland. Where this is the case it will say so clearly on the product page. The additional delivery charge may not be taken at the time of sale, it will either be taken from your payment card at checkout or if this does not happen (see excess shipping section for reasons why it may not
) the additional cost will be taken within a few days of confirming your order. We will email you to confirm that this is happening. If we are collecting the money later please ensure there are sufficient funds left on your card to avoid delays.
Delivery will normally be made within 4 - 6 weeks from clearance of payment. Item pages will give details of how long items take to be made for you. We will normally wait until we have your full order before dispatching. However this is negotiable and if you would prefer split delivery this can often be arranged free of charge. We will endeavor to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and delay in delivery of goods is sometimes outside our control. Any dates we specify for the delivery of the goods are approximate only and we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges, or expenses caused by any delay for delivery of the goods. If we or our suppliers are temporarily out of stock, or there will be longer unexpected delays, we will notify you of this position by email. Although we hope you will not feel it necessary, you always have the right to cancel if you cannot wait for delivery.
We send all our items on a signed for delivery basis. Any claims that an item has not been received must be investigated with the carrier.
Once we have delivered the goods to your door you are responsible for them. We will only deliver goods to the address on the order and goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage to the goods shall be at your own risk. Any transit damage to the external packaging of the goods (crushed or open packages) must be noted on the delivery consignment note at the time of delivery. Should the packaging be undamaged but the contents faulty it is the customer's responsibility to inform us of any problems immediately after they are discovered. We reserve the right to reject claims for which which are not notified within a reasonable time frame.
All products supplied are covered by the terms and conditions of the Manufacturer's Guarantee. All clothing must have been cleaned only as specified on the care label and reasonable wear and tear will be taken into consideration when determining whether an item is faulty. This guarantee specifically excludes faults caused by accident, neglect, and misuse. This does not affect any statutory rights that you may have.
If you have ordered one of our in stocks products and are not totally satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days after date of delivery for full credit or refund Refunds will always be made in pounds sterling, we accept no responsibility for fluctuations in the value of the pound and the way in which this may affect international refunds. For orders paid for by credit or debit card - refunds can only be credited to the card with which you paid. We will not refund to an alternative card. If you no longer have the credit card with which you paid then we will offer you store credit.
Items which are custom made to order are not exchangeable or refundable.
It is your responsibility to return any such items in a pristine saleable condition, please treat all items you receive with respect, goods which smell of cigarette smoke or are covered in animal hair are not considered resellable. You will be wholly responsible for the return of the goods and any associated costs of return. Goods received back incomplete, damaged or in any condition other than saleable, will be returned to you and the cost of return carriage charged to your account.
To avoid problems with customs and excise please clearly mark the address label of the parcel as "UK RETURNS, Drac-in-a-Box, 35 Normandy Hill, Plymouth, PL5 1LF, UK."
Prior to returning any products, please contact us within 7 days from the date of delivery. If you do not return goods within a reasonable period your right to cancel will be withdrawn.
All replacement goods will carry an additional shipping charge. Unless the reason for replacement has been agreed by ourselves as being due to a fault either with ourselves or the manufacturing of the item, the customer will bear the cost of shipping for the replacement item. For heavy items (e.g. boots and some coats) we reserve the right to charge for the actual postage costs plus packaging and credit card charge costs. This may be more than the (often subsidised) shipping costs paid on the original order.
Please note the right to return excludes all made to measure and custom made garments. Please also note when trying on corsetry and lingere you must always have a t-shirt or top (for corsetry) or underwear (for swimwear or nickers) underneath the garment you are trying on. We will not accept as returns items which have been worn. I am sorry but for reasons of hygiene we cannot accept returns on pierced ear-rings, body jewellery or fake hair of any type if they have been tried on.
The terms and conditions shown above do not affect your statutory rights. We will treat each order for goods as an offer by you to purchase the goods subject to the terms and conditions as detailed above.
